TELL IT: someone trustworthy AND supportive about your decision. Learn the basics of the craft. Make sure if it’s not an on-camera class, you’re not learning a stage/theatre style of acting if you want to pursue film/TV. The styles are quite different. FIND IT: If that class isn’t on-camera, find an on-camera acting class. DIG FOR IT: Research online acting classes with professionals in the bigger markets (ex. Los Angeles, New York). You can often find great classes with high-level pros in bigger markets you can’t find in smaller ones. DO IT: Start with an in-person class if possible. Supplement with an online class if needed. STAY WITH IT: Be in class at least 1–2x per week for at least 6 months to get a solid foundation to build on. ← Previous Lesson
